FPP REPAIR

This huge propeller was disassembled on site and brought ashore.

The propeller was heavily damaged. All blades had been cropped and new edges were necessary.

After repair and polishing the blades were checked and rechecked before the propeller was reinstalled at its proper place.

 

 

BOW THRUSTER REPAIR

All steps of a complete bow thruster repair were applicable for this job. From the arrival of the transport to disassembling of the bow thruster. All parts bigger and smaller were cleaned and repaired or renewed if necessary.

 

And then it all had to be remounted and of course we polished it until it almost looked as a new bow thruster.

 

TRUE CRAFTSMANSHIP

in our workshop we saw the damage done from close by: 5 bended blades, 3 of them cropped. Not a minor repair therefore.

 

Three disciplines came together: hydro-dynamics, casting and propeller repair.

 

We started by hot-straightening the bended blades. We made a mold from the best blade in order to cast new tops for the cropped blades.

It goes without saying that all of this work was done by certified experts under class.

 

All in all it was a beautiful piece of work in which all of our knowledge and expertise came together. But above all it's an example of pure craftsmanship. Not something just anyone can do.
